Notability stickers gone8/15/2023 ![]() Nebo’s feature allows you to do some Prezi-style stuff. Notability does offer an endless page, which makes sure you do not run out of paper vertically, but this is different from the infinite page. We were unable to find a similar feature on Notability. This feature also allows you to share your notes with others. So, you can take notes on your iPad, convert them to text, and then continue working on your MacBook, for example. This makes it possible to access them from all devices with an internet connection. ![]() Nebo allows you to publish notes on the web. In short, in terms of basic features, these apps both perform great. They both come with a lasso tool which allows you to edit specific parts of any note, they both offer some degree of customizability for the pen, they both allow for the import of documents, the folder structure is rather similar, and the list goes on and on. Notability and Nebo also have a lot of features that are similar. Also, any document - PDF or Word - that you create will have the same layout as your handwritten note. Nebo kind of “live-streams” the conversion of handwriting to text. In this video by bana vu, you can see how Nebo does this. It is not that Notability does not offer this feature, but Nebo really rocks it. In this blog we explain how you can solve that.Ī distinguishing feature for Nebo is switching from handwriting to text. What might be annoying, however, is the clicking noise of the Apple Pencil. This is a very useful feature for refreshing your memory about notes you took a while ago. Moreover, Notability keeps track of what note was taken during which part of the recording. If you are doing an interview, attending a lecture or find yourself in a meeting, this can be a very useful feature. FeaturesĪ distinguishing feature for Notability is the possibility to record audio while taking notes. Therefore, if your workflow incorporates several operating systems, Nebo is the best choice for you. Or, you could write an outline for an essay, and then copy that to a Word-document for further writing. For example, you can draw a diagram, and then copy it to PowerPoint to work on it further. ![]() Tom Solid, who reviewed Nebo, says that Nebo is a great tool to create things that you intend to work on further in different software. Nebo is also available on Windows, Android and ChromeOS. However, if you want to have more flexibility regarding the operating systems that are supported, Nebo might be interesting for you. If you only take notes on your iPad, this is not a problem at all. However, Notability comes at a very decent price as well. In terms of pricing, Nebo takes the crown. Purchasing the “Full Pack” will set you back eight dollars, and you will only have to pay this once. Nebo also offers a free version, with some in-app purchases. But fifteen dollars per year is a very reasonable price, considering what you are getting. When I first saw fifteen, I was rather annoyed because we are all more used to monthly subscriptions - Netflix, Spotify etc. If you want to get the full version of Notability, you will have to pay fifteen dollars per year. When it comes to Nebo vs Notability, price might be one of the factors that interests you most. ![]() We wouldn’t want this intro to get any longer, so let the fight begin: Nebo vs Notability! ![]() We will go over the similarities and differences between Nebo and Notability so you can decide which app suits your needs the best. While looking for applications to take notes, you will encounter many great apps. Taking the step from notes on paper to notes on digital paper is one that opens up many possibilities. In this blog, we will compare Nebo vs Notaility. In a previous blog we have discussed whether GoodNotes or Notability would be a good fit for you. ![]()

Best fpv drone kit for beginners8/15/2023 ![]() ![]() Read our full Cetus Lite FPV Kit review. On the plus side, it does help in getting used to using FPV goggles, which is something that feels a little strange at first. ![]() It's this functionality that makes the drone beginner and child-friendly, but the disadvantage is that you can’t progress your FPV flying skills with the drone so it’s likely that you’ll outgrow it quickly. As a result, it self-levels and can’t flip, roll or dive like standard FPV drones, which makes it easy to fly. The drone can hover and the left control stick on the transmitter/controller centres when released to aid with this functionality. The Cetus Lite Brushed Quadcopter is incredibly small and lightweight and not particularly powerful, making it suitable for indoor flight only using the included basic controller and analogue FPV goggles. This is one of the most basic and easy to fly kits available making it suitable for everyone including children. ![]() If you’ve ever wanted to test the FPV water without breaking the bank, the BetaFPV Cetus Lite FPV Kit is inexpensive and provides everything you need to get started, including analogue FPV goggles and batteries. And if you’re a beginner, we have the perfect guide for you with our best beginner drones roundup. FPV drone controllers are compatible with simulators, so you simply need to plug them in using a USB cable and you’re ready to go.įPV drones aren’t for everyone, so if you’re looking for a camera drone that’s easier to fly and suitable for taking photos as well as shooting video, take a look at our comprehensive guides for the best drones and best camera drones. Another way to improve your flight skills is to invest in an FPV flight simulator for your Mac or PC. Most FPV drones of the types mentioned here have several flight modes so you can begin with the easier modes and work your way up to Acro. This is the pinnacle of FPV drone flight, and the mode that makes the exciting dives, rolls and flips you may have seen possible. So, with the complexity of the drone out of the way, the only thing you need to do next is to learn how to fly FPV drones in Acro/Manual mode. These kits often include everything you need to get started, so it’s simply a case of choosing that option that suits your needs and all you have to do is charge everything and you can begin flying. ![]() Auto body glazing putty8/15/2023 ![]() ![]() There is no administration fee charged for entering into a special payments plan. Soon after that early comfort, though, tradition goes out the window - at least for a little while. Traditional Pokémon in traditional England - or at least a parochial, Surrey retiree's idea of it. In other words - a brush with heavy foreshadowing aside - it's all strictly familiar stuff. And then you press on through the local village of Wedgehurst, with its chortling berry grocers and singular boutique, to meet the elderly professor at her old house, nestled beside a lake. You collect your starter, cutely and intricately animated in their little line-up, as you make your choice. You say goodbye to your mum and meet your friendly rival, heading past rolling fields of Wooloo and crumbly country lane cottages. You start at home, in the especially bijou hamlet of Postwick. Pokémon Sword and Shield's beginnings are much like any other in the series. Your initial selection of starters, always a great moment, is especially well done in Sword and Shield. ![]() But all that's new seems to have come at a cost - and the cost is almost everything else in the game. This is a new generation of Pokémon games that promises much, with brilliant new Pokémon, a raft of intricate system-tinkering for long-term fans and a series-first stab at an "open-world" area. It's also, more troublingly, quite a fitting metaphor for Pokémon Sword and Shield themselves. But it does serve as quite a fitting, if on-the-nose, metaphor for a game set in Galar, a new region inspired by the long-waned superpower of Great Britain, with all its puffed-up-cheeks and empty bluster. In practice, outside of being a neat detail for the lore nerds, that sleight of hand doesn't really matter. Availability: Out 15th November on Nintendo Switch. But the scale of those battles, the spectacle, is fake. A smart way to combine the AWOL, slightly unwieldy Z-Moves and Mega Evolutions of previous generations into a single, spectacular three-turn mechanic in battles, sure. Pokémon Sword and Shield add some brilliant new creatures, but like their gargantuan Dynamax forms, the games feel like a hollow projection.ĭid you know that Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon - the jumbo, Stay Puft forms your little creatures can rather endearingly assume during certain battles - are actually just projections? Your barely two-foot-tall Pikachu isn't actually growing to the height of a skyscraper - or the girth of the classic chunky design, for that matter. ![]() Xe electron configuration8/15/2023 ![]() ![]() The electrons may be listed, as shown here, in the order of increasing major quantum number. The total of the superscripted numbers should equal the atomic number of bismuth, 83. Note that 3 is the lowest possible value that n may have for a d orbital, and that 4 is the lowest possible value of n for an f orbital. SOLUTION We can do this by simply moving across the periodic table one row at a time and writing the occupancies of the orbital corresponding to each row (refer to Figure 6.29). Write the electron configuration for the element bismuth, atomic number 83. What family of elements is characterized by having an ns 2 np 2 outer-electron configuration? Answer: Group 4A Recall also that the 1 s subshell is the first s subshell, the 2 p is the first p subshell, the 3 d is the first d subshell, and the 4 f is the first f subshell.įIGURE 6.29 Block diagram of the periodic table showing the groupings of the elements according to the type of orbital being filled with electrons. Recall that the numbers 2, 6, 10, and 14 are precisely the number of electrons that can fill the s, p, d, and f subshells, respectively. These elements are often referred to as the f-block metals because they are the ones in which the f orbitals are being filled. ![]() Below the main portion of the table are two rows that contain fourteen columns. These are the elements in which the d orbitals are being filled. In the middle of the table is a block of ten columns that contains the transition metals. The s block and the p block of the periodic table contain the representative (or main-group) elements. These are the elements in which the outermost p orbitals are being filled. These elements, known as the alkali metals (group 1A) and alkaline earth metals (group 2A), are those in which the outer-shell s orbitals are being filled. Notice that the elements can be grouped in terms of the type of orbital into which the electrons are placed. The pattern is summarized in Figure 6.29. You can easily write the electron configuration of an element based on its location in the periodic table. For this reason we will emphasize that the periodic table is your best guide to the order in which orbitals are filled. Likewise, the 4 d orbitals don't begin to fill until the fifth row of the table, and the 4 f orbitals don't begin filling until the sixth row.Īll of these observations are evident in the structure of the periodic table. As noted earlier, the remaining orbitals of the third shell, the 3 d orbitals, do not begin to fill until the fourth row of the periodic table (and after the 4 s orbital is filled). For example, the third row has eight elements, which corresponds to filling the 3 s and 3 p orbitals. Some of the numbers repeat because we reach the end of a row of the periodic table before a shell completely fills. The first row has two elements, the second and third rows have eight elements, the fourth and fifth rows have 18 elements, and the sixth row has 32 elements (including the lanthanide metals). We see that the beautiful structure of the periodic table reflects this orbital structure. Because each orbital can hold two electrons, each shell can accommodate up to 2 n 2 electrons: 2, 8, 18, or 32. We see that the 2A elements all have ns 2 outer configurations while the 3A elements have ns 2 np 1 configurations.Įarlier, in Table 6.2, we saw that the total number of orbitals in each shell is equal to n 2: 1, 4, 9, or 16. For example, the electron configurations for the elements in groups 2A and 3A are given in Table 6.4. The periodic table is structured so that elements with the same pattern of outer-shell (valence) electron configuration are arranged in columns. We have seen that the electron configurations of elements are related to their location in the periodic table. Our rather brief survey of electron configurations of the elements has taken us through the periodic table. Chapter 9 Electron Configurations and the Periodic Table ![]() David production wage8/15/2023 ![]() Any appeal to firms hiring more labour must take this into account.Īccounts of the productivity puzzle that focus on changing those capital-labour ratios tend to omit both the relative fixity of capital and the importance of demand side forces in influencing the hiring of labour. For the service sector, there may be scope for hiring more labour if the relative cost falls, but it is a fallacy of supply-side economics to expect that firms will hire more labour unless aggregate demand also increases. Firms cannot simply dispose of capital that they have invested in and switch to labour intensive methods of production without facing significant losses. But such adjustment is not necessarily feasible.įor the manufacturing sector, where large investments have been made in plant and machinery, hiring cheaper labour is far from straightforward. For example, it implies fairly rapid adjustment in capital-labour ratios – in other words, firms investing in people rather than building up cash on their balance sheet or buying new equipment. This argument presupposes certain things. One argument is that lower real wages have encouraged firms to hire more labour which has ultimately eroded productivity. Some others have linked lower real wages and lower productivity. In short, a high wage economy is a precondition for a return to sustainable prosperity. It would also help to sustain a recovery by underpinning higher levels of demand. A pay rise for hard-pressed British workers would mark a big step forward in raising productivity. ![]() It seems clear in this scenario that the key to resolving the productivity puzzle is to increase real wages. Recent headlines about a reversal in this trend are due to falling price inflation – partly a reflection of weak domestic and world demand – rather than to accelerating pay settlements.Īt the same time, rises in output have been matched by rises in hours worked workers in Britain have not been producing any more per hour. At least we can cling to the thought that the solution to this might offer a genuine recovery with sturdy roots.ĭespite falling unemployment levels, real wages have registered a continued period of decline never before witnessed in the past half-century. ![]() Low real wages, by eroding the incentive to work and the morale of workers, have fed low productivity. That the two phenomena have coincided is no accident. The other is the sluggish growth in productivity. One is the sluggish growth in real wages. Two things stand out about the economic recovery in Britain. The erosion of real wages has affected adversely the motivation and morale of workers thereby weakening productivity, argues David Spencer. Higher real wages would raise productivity and also induce the demand needed to absorb the extra output created by the rise in productivity. In short, a high wage economy is a precondition for a return to sustainable prosperity. ![]() Graveyard shift sleep schedule8/14/2023 ![]() If you must work again that night, sleep another 2-4 hours before going into work. Sleeping longer will slow the next night’s sleep. After working a night shift, go to bed immediately and force yourself to get up in 4 hours. During split sleep, you will sleep in 2-4 hour cycles adjacent to your normal sleep time. The goal is to prevent your circadian rhythm from shifting into night. This is best for a short series of nights since this will not allow for an effective shift of the sleep-wake cycle. This may be more difficult if your family is on a more conventional schedule since you will be missing a large chunk of time with them. These four hours will be the same regardless of your shift and you will be sleeping at least half the time during hours normally reserved for sleep. during this time, on your days off, try to sleep from 9 a.m. For example, if you are working a week of nights and sleep from 9 a.m. This is a period of sleep that one gets every day regardless of rotation. The following are some tips for shift workers to avoid developing SWSD. It can also cause an increased risk for other untoward health consequences such as heart disease, gastrointestinal problems, motor vehicle accidents and even cancer. Only 20 percent said they can perform their job without any problems, but another 20 percent admitted they cannot tolerate shift work at all. ![]() In a poll conducted by the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), 60-80 percent of shift workers complained of chronic sleep disturbances to some degree. Shift work can be one of the most difficult and stressful parts of a job. Symptoms must be present for at least three months and not better explained by another current sleep disorder, medical or neurological disorder, mental disorder, medication use, poor sleep hygiene, or substance use disorder. Over time this can result in a circadian rhythm sleep disorder, known as Shift Work Sleep Disorder (SWSD).īy definition, SWSD is characterized by insomnia and/or excessive daytime sleepiness with a decrease in total sleep time due to a recurring work schedule that overlaps the usual time for sleep. When external factors such as shift work or DST are imposed, it leads to changes in our sleep homeostasis. Unfortunately, some occupations, like fighting fires or treating the sick, require 24-hour a day manpower. ![]() Our bodies strive for routine and run on a natural cycle, known as the circadian rhythm, which is entrained to the sun. ![]() Waterfall wallpaper live8/14/2023 ![]() ![]() Once you are done, you can play around with an array of 3D, screen resolution, and tiling options available, and choose one that befits you.
